Green Box Shop

Green Box Shop is on a mission to save the environment. The era of e-commerce consumer returns is causing so much waste. It has become an environmental disaster.

Most items are returned because they simply aren’t quite what the buyer was expecting.

Green Box Shop specialise in buying high end electronic consumer returns and selling them on marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. They also sell via their Shopify website.

The Project

I’ve known Tam & Mike since the 90’s. That’s when I built them their first e-commerce website, whilst working for an internet agency. It was the first e-commerce website I ever built. It proved to be a great success.

Fast forward to the present day, Mike & Tam got in touch asking for help to integrate a new multi channel inventory system.

01. Consultancy

Green Box Shop has multiple sales channels including Shopify, eBay, Amazon and Google Shopping. They decided to upgrade and migrate their inventory and order management to the Selro cloud based system. They needed all the channels to talk to each other and integrate with Royal Mail and DPD parcel systems to improve workflow and automation of order processing and stock management.

02. Integration

I integrated and automated all the sales channels and came up with solutions to automate many other of their processes.

Complex shipping rules were setup and label creation was automated using DPD and Royal Mail Click & Drop API connections.

eDesk customer support system was implemented to centralise and improve customer requests across all sales channel.

03. Creativity

The website had already been designed, however we took the chance to improve its structure, content and usability. I also gave Green Box Shop a coherent look and feel across all sales channels and touch points.

04. Marketing

With all the integrations and data flowing from the inventory management system, I ensured that search engine optimised content was passed to each sales channel so every product would perform well on every channel.

I noticed an opportunity with Google Shopping Channel free listings, which hadn’t been implemented before, so I setup an automated product feed into Google which drives traffic to the Shopify channel. It’s proved to be quite a success.
