Did you kknow a 308 permanent redirect indicates a web page has been moved to a new location. The server automatically redirect the user from the old page to the new page.
It’s inevitable when building a new website that its structure and page names will change. By setting up 308 redirects it stops users getting those “404 Page Not Found” errors.
The best bit about a 308 permanent redirect is Google loves them. By implementing the correct 308 redirect strategy on a new site, none of your search ranking will be lost when the content has been moved to a new location. This also applies when changing domain names.
